Copper River Shared Services is seeking an experienced Network Systems Administrator to join our technology team in support of our Microsoft-centric cloud services first infrastructure. Your extensive experience with developing and implementing robust business technology solutions within a Microsoft Azure multi-domain/multi-tenant/multi-company environment will complement our team. In addition, you will be managing data governance and compliance with CMMC and other security standards.
This role reports to the Director of Information Technology and is located in Chantilly, Virginia.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Administer and optimize configuration, compliance, and application management across the organization via Microsoft Intune.
- Modernize and enhance data governance with Microsoft Purview.
- Possess deep understanding of NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC.
- Manage timelines, delivery of status reports, and documentation for assigned projects.
- Maintain company SSP.
- Troubleshoot technical issues via helpdesk escalations and develop effective technology solutions to business challenges.
- Articulate and demonstrate the possibilities of new and emerging software and services to solve business challenges.
- Manage both on-premises network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) as well as Azure virtual networking and security infrastructure.
- Proficiency in configuring Conditional Access, Compliance Policies, and Endpoint Security profiles.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a similar field. Work experience may be considered in place of degree.
- Required Knowledge/Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years’ senior level experience as an IT systems engineer.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Networking experience including switching, routing, firewall, and VPN configuration.
- Experience with NIST 800-171, CMMC, FISMA, policies and compliance.
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Purview and Classification Labels.
- Experience with Palo-Alto Global Protect/Secure Remote Access and Juniper switching.
- Wireless deployment with experiencing in heat mapping and management of Juniper Mist.
- Ability to manage projects and initiatives through to completion.
- Exceptional communication and project leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Solutions-focused approach to delivering excellent customer service and demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts to a broad audience of differing experience levels.
- Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
- Relevant Microsoft or CompTIA certifications.
- Experience with administration of Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft SharePoint.
- Experience with developing and maintaining System Security Plans (SSP) and IT-specific process documentation.
- Experience automating administrative processes using PowerShell.
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, carry, move heavy objects as needed
