Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout requirements.
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials using hand tools and shop equipment.
- Fit, align, and assemble structural steel components according to project requirements.
- Use tools such as oxyacetylene torches, plasma cutters, drill press, angle press, jigs, tape measures, and squares.
- Inspect finished assemblies to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Structural Steel Fitter or in a similar role.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Skilled in measuring, cutting, aligning, and assembling steel components.
- Familiarity with shop tools and equipment such as torches, plasma cutters, and presses.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
