Position: Welder
Duration: Contract to Hire
Location: Richmond, VA 23224
Shift: 1st Shift
A rapidly growing miscellaneous metals fabrication and installation company is seeking experienced Welder/Grinders for their Richmond, VA shop.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Weld/Grind stairs, rails, and misc. metals
- MIG Welding
- Operating an overhead crane
- Testing and inspecting welded surfaces and structures to identify flaws
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with MIG welding
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to meet fast-paced project demands
- Ability to use basic math and geometry
- Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced work environment
- Have a positive attitude with a dependable self-driven work ethic
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Welding Certification
- Experience with stringers for stairs and/or porches
- Experience working with Misc Metals
Subject to a pre-employment drug test and/or background check.
