Description

Are you ready to join an innovative team that pushes the boundaries of creativity and delivers top-notch results? At Aardvark Studios, we thrive in a multitude of creative landscapes. Simply calling us a “Creative Fabrication Company” or an “Experiential Marketing Company” doesn't capture the full scope of what we do.  We are a dynamic design, build and technology studio serving the experiential marketing, location based entertainment, and museum industries constantly evolving with each and every unique project.

Are you a hands-on, detail-oriented team player who enjoys keeping things organized and moving efficiently? Aardvark Studios is looking for a Warehouse Manager to join our production operations team. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all shipping, receiving, and inventory operations. This role plays a key part in supporting our production and logistics teams by ensuring that materials and finished builds are handled, stored, and shipped safely and efficiently.  A critical component of this position is the packing and crating of custom-built items — many of which are oversized, delicate, or one-of-a-kind. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, proactive, and takes great pride in ensuring that every item that enters, moves within, or leaves the warehouse does so in a safe, organized and properly protected manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all shipping activities, including coordination with freight carriers and couriers, and  ensuring accurate documentation and labeling.
  • Receive, verify, and document incoming materials and shipments; ensure items are organized and staged for use by the appropriate teams or projects.
  • Evaluate, develop, and improve the company’s receiving and materials-handling process, creating clear, efficient workflows that support fabrication and production needs.
  • Manage and maintain inventory accuracy using our warehouse software system.
  • Supervise and execute packing and crating of custom-built items — ensuring all materials are protected, labeled, and shipped securely.
  • Maintain a clean, efficient, and organized warehouse space.
  • Develop and enforce warehouse procedures that promote safety, efficiency, and accountability.
  • Work closely with fabrication and project management teams to ensure materials and finished builds are ready for delivery on schedule.
  • Oversee equipment operation, including forklift and pallet jack use (certification preferred or willingness to obtain).
  • Support project teams with warehouse prep and packing for events or tours.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate is:

  • Experienced  in shipping, receiving, or materials handling within a fabrication, manufacturing, or production shop environment.
  • Proven in their experience to manage an organized warehouse.
  • A proactive problem solver with strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Someone who takes pride in careful, quality work — especially when it comes to protecting and shipping custom fabricated pieces.
  • Highly organized and familiar with inventory management.
  • A team player who thrives in a hands-on, collaborative environment.

Requirements or what else is helpful:

  • Knowledge and experience with a variety of shipping platforms (UPS, FedEx, freight forwarding).
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems  and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, scissor lift and pallet jack (Training / Certification can be provided).
  • You don't mind getting your hands dirty and work with urgency.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, action-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience driving box trucks up to 26’ (with clean driving record and valid license) preferred

How we’ll measure success:

  • Accuracy and timeliness of shipments and deliveries.
  • No damage to shipped or trucked items.
  • Inventory accuracy and warehouse cleanliness and organization.
  • Reliability, communication, and support to internal teams.

What we offer:

  • Competitive compensation package, commensurate with experience
  • Paid time off
  • Medical / Dental / Vision benefits
  • LIfe insurance, short & long-term disability options
  • Retirement matching after 1 year
  • On-site private-use gym
  • Dog-friendly workspace
