2026 Investment Banking Industrial Placement - 12 Month Program - London

Leerink Partners offers a 12-month Industrial Placement Program for undergraduate students undertaking a placement year as part of their degree. This is an opportunity to join an experienced, full-service investment bank focused on growth and innovation within the healthcare and life sciences sectors.  The program provides a unique opportunity to work alongside our investment banking professionals, gaining hands-on experience across a range of M&A transactions while developing the skills required for a successful career in financial services and contributing to the firm’s continued expansion and growing presence in Europe

As a Placement Analyst, you will:

  • Learn about the firm, our culture, and the healthcare investment banking landscape
  • Develop technical, analytical, and professional skills through structured and on-the-job training
  • Contribute directly to live transactions and client engagements

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing client presentations, memoranda, and other transaction-related materials
  • Build and maintain financial models and perform valuation analyses
  • Conduct company and industry research, review business plans, and analyze financial statements
  • Support due diligence and execution processes
  • Work closely with senior team members across the firm

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Degree discipline or coursework in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Life Sciences preferred
  • Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Highly motivated, intellectually curious, and adaptable within a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

Additional Information:

  • Location: London, United Kingdom
  • Program duration: 12 months, beginning Summer 2026
  • Applicants must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom for the duration of the placement and not require visa sponsorship in the future
  • While the program is designed for students completing a placement year, we will also consider recent graduates who are interested in gaining experience through a placement year opportunity
