YOUR OPPORTUNITY

A truly unique role offering the opportunity to influence GTR Europe performance with the chance to help dynamically manage P&L and gain front line commercial finance experience.

On the one hand you will be involved in regional strategic planning discussions, resource allocation modelling, regional P&L reporting and management and submission of budget estimates. On the other, you will be getting into the details on Europe sales performance, working with the commercial teams to identify opportunities & drive delivery, managing costs & tracking KPIs in Europe P&L.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT & PLANNING:

Help manage Europe performance, supporting profitable P&L delivery and manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting processes, with the following specific responsibilities:

  • Partner with the European Commercial team to prepare monthly P&L landing estimates by analyzing business trends, key drivers, and emerging opportunities.
  • Develop detailed monthly regional performance reports (market, brand, customer level) covering NSV, GP, GM%, DBC and variance analysis vs. budget.
  • Align landing positions (Vol, NSV, GP, A&P) with Commercial and Marketing leads before submitting updates to the Regional Director, Finance Manager, and Central Finance.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly performance management reports to regional stakeholders.
  • Execute quarterly SOX audits and manage pre-/post-close processes in line with accounting policies.
  • Prepare, upload, and submit regional budgets and in-year forecasts, including template creation, guidance to Commercial teams, and ensuring accurate submissions in TM1. Conduct post-submission checks and adjustments.
  • Be part of the wider GTR Finance team, actively contributing to ad-hoc projects and initiatives.

COMMERCIAL DECISION SUPPORT:

Act as Business partner to Sales Managers and Customer Marketing Managers with the following specific responsibilities:

  • Support the Commercial team in identifying pricing opportunities to improve margin and drive profitable growth.
  • Maintain accurate Volume, NSV, and GP forecasts through continuous review and improvement of forecasting tool.
  • Collaborate with Commercial team to prepare annual commercial plans (IAP/Budget) for review and approval by the Regional Director and Finance Manager.
  • Support the Regional Finance Manager in quarterly customer credit assessments and reviews.
  • Ensure accurate month-end accrual postings through timely and correct MJEs.
  • Review accrual adequacy by comparing accruals vs. actual invoices and customers’ stock-in-hand.
  • Conduct quarterly accrual adequacy checks with the Commercial team and obtain sign-off from the Regional Director.

MARKETING DECISION SUPPORT:

  • Review monthly A&P Planner vs. Budget/LE and prepare landing positions for month, quarter, and FY; challenge Commercial and CMM teams to optimize ROI on incremental A&P spend.
  • Report monthly actual A&P spend, highlight variances and discrepancies, and ensure compliance with Bacardi accounting policies.
  • Assist with M&E and ROI analysis to evaluate marketing effectiveness and guide optimal resource allocation.
  • Manage A&P code setup in financial systems to enable accurate budget uploads and spend tracking.

STRUCTURE COST DECISION SUPPORT

To support financial and operational planning, budgeting, forecasting and analytics for structure costs

  • Monthly reporting and monitoring of structure costs against Budgets and Latest Estimates, challenging teams where overspends occur.
  • Embed culture of cost control within regional commercial teams.
  • Share variance analysis of Travel & Entertainment actual spends vs Budget and update Forecast on monthly basis.

SKILLS - THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial/ strategic analysis gained from experience in a consumer goods/ retail environment or professional services
  • Advanced Excel skills, ability to build advanced excel models, explain variances to estimates, identify business risks and opportunities, and make appropriate recommendations
  • Ability to manage projects/tasks independently to ensure successful delivery (on time and within budget) while identifying potential issues/risks. Able to prioritize effectively and manage workload against tight deadlines
  • Fundamental understanding of internal controls, standards, and processes to ensure accuracy and consistency in data used for decision-making, internal/external reporting and communications
  • Strong communication, influencing, presentation & collaboration skills required in order to achieve results across the organization
  • High comfort in modelling & understanding large & complex data sets into useful information & insights
  • Education: Accounting qualifications (CA or equivalent). Degree level with strong results.
