Overview of the role

We are now very excited to grow our Microsoft Modern Workplace team further by hiring a SharePoint Technical Consultant.
What will you be doing?
- Scope, design, build, test, implement and document SharePoint Online and wider Microsoft 365 collaboration solutions for new and existing customers.
- Lead customer-facing workshops, discovery sessions and knowledge-transfer activities, providing clear guidance throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Deliver high-quality project outcomes on time and to budget, working closely with Project Management and internal delivery teams.
- Develop secure, scalable solutions across SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Entra and Purview, including intranet development, data cleansing and migration, modernisation, and integration/automation work.
- Translate customer requirements into practical technical designs, handling complex scenarios and adapting to the needs of public-sector environments.
- Produce clear, accurate project documentation and ensure all deliverables meet agreed standards.
- Work autonomously when required while contributing to a collaborative, supportive team culture.
- Mentor colleagues and support the continual development of team skills, services, and delivery practices.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and relevant technical accreditations across the Microsoft Modern Workplace.
- Promote new and existing service offerings to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Support opportunities in both pre-sales and post-sales engagements, providing technical insight where required.

What are we looking for?
The right person for this role will have proven experience within another partner organisation / consultancy where you are used to working on numerous customer engagements.
Those working client-side or those working as a freelancer/contractor are not suitable for this role.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience delivering Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online collaboration solutions in a consultancy role within a professional services partner
- Strong SharePoint migration experience using tools such as SMPT, Migration Manager and ShareGate.
- Strong front-end development skills, including UI enhancements, scripting and automation.
- Solid understanding of governance, security, data management and best-practice collaboration processes.
- Hands-on experience leading adoption, change and digital transformation projects.
- Ability to analyse, cleanse and migrate data, including permissions and complex structures.
- Good knowledge of M365, Entra, Azure, Purview and Power Platform services.
- Strong documentation, requirements gathering and solution design skills.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills with the ability to build trusted relationships.

Where is the role based?
Our HQ is in Pocklington (YO42) and this role can be remote with regular monthly visits to the office.
