Overall Purpose and Objective
Provides support services to employees with technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop or network services from local personnel or from employees using network remote access. Provides timely resolution of problems or escalation on behalf of customer to appropriate technical personnel. Imaging, installation and support of the hardware and software infrastructure, systems security and peripherals. Provides case status updates to management and end-users. Supports and maintains effective relationships with users. Develops, documents, and implements standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines relating to IT support. May involve company-hosted, Web-enabled solutions or may include project-based jobs in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions.
Responsibilities
- Provides accurate, timely and creative solutions to end-user computer and networking problems of moderate to complex nature to ensure client productivity. Provide end-user support to include but not limited to: Desktop, laptop support; Remote Access; Network connection issues; User privileges and security.
- Issue, maintain and upgrade new end-user equipment including desktops, laptops, iPhones and tablets.
- Responds to situations where standard procedures have failed in isolating or fixing problem equipment or software installations, moves and configuration changes.
- Maintain relationship with 3rd party network providers such as Fuller, Eaton, Koorsen, Lumen. Report on network issues and coordinate resolutions.
- Consults with client area management and staff regarding PC / server and LAN systems and equipment problems or malfunctions, and recommends solutions.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware and server resources, systems and key processes.
- Maintain office printers and interface with suppliers such as Ricoh.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting MSOffice products, Azure, Endpoint/Intune/Autopilot, Jamf(macOS) and Sharepoint a plus, recent Windows versions, installing and/or repairing computer hardware and a variety of software applications. 8 Years of related experience is required.
- System / process documentation
- Intermediant understanding of networking. Hands-on support for Networking teams as needed.
- BDC – hands-on support for Ops team as needed
- Voip system administration
- Maintain / troubleshoot conference A/V systems as needed
- Knowledge of WIFI technology
- Experience with Apple iPhone & Tablets
- Microsoft certification and/or A+ certification is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel to remote offices as needed

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $33,800 - $85,176. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
