Job summary

As an Intern at the Applications Engineering Team, you will work with MPS Automotive products. You will be supporting the evaluation and validation of components and board designs.

Some of your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

IC validation and characterization, optimization and automatization of existing measurements and test concepts. Characterization of key product parameters using laboratory instruments (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, pattern generator…).

PCB layout of evaluation boards, characterization/validation boards and system demonstrator.
EMC performance testing.
Collaborate with application engineers to verify MPS products regarding electrical parameters. Create the necessary designs and collaterals. Identify and drive device improvements.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field.
First experience in the space of switched mode power supplies, loads switches, linear regulator, motor drivers etc
Hardware bench experience in power electronics and experiences with test equipment (i.e, power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes etc …)
Basic understanding of schematics, layouts and laboratory equipment to analyze analog circuits
Motivated, open minded, rigorous, out-of-the-box thinker.
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions.
Able to take the initiative and drive for results.
Fluent communication skills in English.
