The Financial Services & Enterprise Data Division delivers strategic financial leadership and operational support to enable the University’s academic, research, and community objectives. Our division includes key units such as Institutional Research Accounting, Enterprise Data, Procurement, Operations and Research Accounting, Treasury, and Subsidiary and Customer Accounting. Together, we ensure financial sustainability, compliance, and efficient resource allocation across the institution.

About the Role
Data Insights and Analytics Specialists are responsible for developing and maintaining reports and data visualisations to meet business needs. This position will work closely with business units to understand their reporting requirements and develop prototypes that can be further developed into analytical solutions. The Data Insights and Analytics Specialist will develop expertise within a subject area while maintaining a broad level of knowledge across all areas. 

About You
The ideal candidate will hold relevant tertiary qualifications and possess strong data and analytics experience within Higher Education. They will demonstrate expertise in translating business requirements into prototypes and reporting solutions, supported by proficiency in SQL for data modelling, and in creating reports and visualisations using tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage workflows and meet deadlines using project management methodologies are essential. The role requires experience in delivering clear documentation, outstanding customer service in data environments, and promoting continuous improvement. High-level interpersonal skills are critical for consulting and negotiating with stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and data quality.
