A day in a life of a Concept Development Chef

  • As a Concept Development Chef (m/f/d), you will lead the development of culinary prototypes for our Asian Cuisine and conduct test series, presenting outcomes in engaging tasting sessions to gather valuable feedback.
  • Furthermore, your role includes translating scientific insights and emerging technologies into practical culinary applications through feasibility assessments and innovative prototype creation.
  • Additionally, you will plan and coordinate prototyping activities within project timelines, showcasing a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Staying current with trends you will present innovative product concepts and prototype demonstrations to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Actively contributing to creative ideation sessions, you will leverage your culinary expertise to inspire new product directions and enhance team understanding of regional culinary techniques.

 

 What will make you successful

  • You bring vast experience in the high-end gastronomy and hospitality industry – focusing on Asian cuisine – having held leading positions within kitchen teams that showcase your leadership skills.
  • Your background includes significant experience in product development, demonstrating your ability to innovate and create culinary solutions.
  • Also, you possess a strong knowledge of food ingredients and industrial raw materials, including flavors, fats, oils, starches, and hydrocolloids, which enhances your culinary expertise.
  • Proven communication skills enable you to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, and your fluency in English supports clear and impactful interactions.
  • As a team player, you are able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and have project management experience, complemented by good knowledge of MS Office.
