About the Role

Reporting to the Global Head of Procurement, we are seeking a Regional Director who will be accountable for leading supply and procurement strategy and planning, supplier market analysis, contracting, and supplier management for a major business segment. This segment includes multiple sites or businesses with an annual spend exceeding AUD $750 million. The role also encompasses overall leadership of logistics, spares warehousing and stores, as well as coordination of third-party services, including repairable spares.

 

Location: West Australia – Kwinana Pigment Plant (KPP) or Bunbury Pigment Plant (BPP).

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Leads a team of more than 70 supply chain professionals supporting manufacturing and mining operations across Western Australia, New South Wales, and Victoria.

  • Guides the team through business transformation and organisation optimisation—leveraging new tools to drive process improvement, productivity, and efficiency.

  • Ensures business requirements for materials, spares, and services are met by sourcing and selecting appropriately qualified suppliers and negotiating contracts on optimal price, quality, and service terms.

  • Leads procurement strategy and planning, supplier market analysis, contracting, and supplier management for multiple sites or a major business segment. Ensures business needs for materials and services are fulfilled through effective sourcing and negotiation.

  • Establishes and embeds best-practice processes and policies, driving continuous improvement in procurement performance.

  • Develops strategies, plans, and tools to optimise supplier selection and contracting for goods and services.

  • Establishes effective KPIs, monitors procurement function performance, and initiates improvements as required.

  • Oversees operations in a large and complex warehousing or stores facility.

  • Ensures compliance with regional and local regulatory requirements. 

  

About You

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management or Engineering; MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a director-level leadership role.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a supply chain department within a global organization.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to develop and implement supply chain and procurement strategies.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading business and digital transformation initiatives.

  • Ability to support budgeting and forecasting processes for energy costs and savings.

  • Ability and commitment to travel to operational sites in WA and NSW.
