The Opportunity:

Due to continued business growth, we are currently recruiting a Senior Rail Surveyor to join our Monitoring UK North department on a permanent basis.  Reporting to the Head of Department and based out of our Manchester or Birmingham office, this is a great opportunity to work on complex rail projects, using cutting-edge technology and contributing to the safety and efficiency of the UK rail network.



What will I be doing in my new role?

  • Leading and delivering rail projects, including topographic and monitoring surveys to the highest standards.
  • Managing site teams and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Using advanced survey techniques and instruments to capture accurate geospatial data.
  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders to provide technical advice and project updates.
  • Supporting the development of junior team members through mentoring and training.



Requirements of the role:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in rail surveying.
  • Strong knowledge of railway standards and safety procedures (including PTS and COSS certification, or willing to become a COSS).
  • Proficiency in total stations, GNSS, TMD survey trolley, and other survey and monitoring equipment.
  • Ability to interpret and deliver complex survey data accurately with a good understanding of track components.
  • Full rights to work in the UK
  • Ability to travel nationwide
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
  • Must be willing to work weekends and overtime as required
