At Marie Curie, we’re committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for our patients and their families. We’re looking for a practical and reliable volunteer to support our Maintenance team in keeping the hospice in excellent condition—both inside and out.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll contribute to the day-to-day upkeep of the building and grounds, helping ensure the hospice remains a comfortable and functional space for everyone.

What you’ll do

Your tasks may include:

  • Assisting with general maintenance and minor repairs
  • Driving hospice vehicles for routine collections and errands
  • Moving furniture, equipment, supplies, and stock
  • Supporting the team with other maintenance-related duties as needed

  • Ability to carry out physical tasks with moderate effort
  • A strong sense of pride in completing tasks to a high standard
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Understanding of confidentiality and sensitivity in a hospice setting
