Why join us

Get ready to Own your potential as a Warehouse Worker/Retail Sales Clerk at Trouw Nutrition, a Nutreco company. As global leaders in animal nutrition and aquafeed, our shared purpose of Feeding the Future is making a positive global impact for generations to come. Join us in this impactful role and help deliver the production of feed, in a sustainable way to a growing population. Own your direction, Own your development and Own your path.

What you’ll do

You will own the end-to-end customer and inventory flow, primarily responsible for the vital movement of stock between the warehouse and retail store, which directly supports Nutreco's Purpose-driven mission of Feeding the Future. This requires a hands-on approach to inventory management, where you will take the initiative to accurately receive, organize, and display merchandise using equipment like the pallet jack, while also ensuring strict adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory documentation for food and chemical items. On the retail side, you will be empowered to own the absolute customer experience—processing sales, managing cash, and proactively applying your product knowledge to meet customer needs—all while consistently demonstrating the collaborative spirit needed to maintain smooth operations during your required shifts, including mandatory Saturdays.

Who we’re looking for

You are a self-starter ready to own your career by applying your physical ability and organizational skills to ensure efficient inventory flow and absolute customer satisfaction. You possess strong written and verbal English communication skills, making you effective in both processing complex paperwork (including food and chemical safety documentation) and providing friendly, knowledgeable customer service. You are defined by your strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative nature, eager to take initiative to master the precise procedures for receiving, moving (using the pallet jack), and logically organizing merchandise to maintain product availability. Your ability to own the physical demands of the role—including regularly lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods—coupled with your commitment to following strict safety and quality policies, ensures that the retail side of the business consistently meets the needs of our customers.

You’ll also need

  • Customer Service & Communication: Absolute customer service focus—must be friendly, outgoing, knowledgeable, and great with people, supported by strong written and verbal English communication skills

  • Physical & Warehouse Capability: Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis, stand for long periods, and efficiently move and receive inventory using a pallet jack to organize merchandise logically

  • Safety & Compliance: Ability to follow strict manufacturing practices and safety policies and complete all necessary regulatory paperwork for food and chemical safety and quality standards

  • Schedule & Experience: Willingness to work the required part-time schedule (15 hours/week) with mandatory Saturdays; 2-3 years experience in a mill, warehouse, greenhouse, or farm is an asset

What you’ll receive

As part of Nutreco, you’ll be a member of the SHV family, a diverse group of companies with global footprint. Join us and you’ll gain access to a wide network of expertise and global career paths. You’ll also benefit from the backing of one of the world’s largest privately owned businesses, known for its stability and long-term focus.

In addition, you’ll receive

  • Robust pension plan with employer matching that begins on Day 1!

  • Competitive health benefits - Medical/Dental/Vision/HSA, that start on Day 1!

  • Short-term/Long-term Disability and Mental Health spending allowance

  • Maternal top-up and Tuition Reimbursement

  • 15 vacation days to start (tiered)

  • Annual bonus
