MRO Technician
Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for an MRO Technician to join our Operations team, where you’ll play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and overhauling precision aerospace components. This role will be initially based at our Staverton site before moving to our new MRO facility in Tewkesbury in early 2026.
Ontic is more than just a business — we’re a community of innovators who pride ourselves on fostering a culture where talent thrives, ideas flourish, and careers are built. The Role
As an MRO Technician, you’ll be responsible for the repair, overhaul, and testing of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical components and parts to the highest aviation standards. Working from approved Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) and detailed work instructions, you’ll ensure all processes are performed with precision, compliance, and full traceability.
Your work will include fault finding, detailed inspections, and the rebuild and testing of complex aerospace components. You’ll collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve repair issues, support continuous improvement, and ensure all documentation is completed accurately and efficiently.
In this role, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety standards, and demonstrating exceptional attention to detail are key to ensuring Ontic’s continued reputation for excellence in aviation maintenance.

You’ll bring experience working with hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical components, ideally within an aerospace or aviation environment. You’ll have the ability to follow detailed written instructions, work to close tolerances, and meet strict deadlines.
Electrical experience or previous work to CMM standards would be an advantage. You’ll also have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach to teamwork. Proficiency with PC-based systems is essential, and you’ll need the flexibility to travel occasionally as required.
