About the role
The 1st Shift Production Supervisor will be accountable for leading direct reports to achieve shift production targets while maintaining a safe and efficient operation and producing products to established quality standards. Hours are 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM for four day rotation, on four days then off four days.
Key responsibilities
- Execute the production schedule efficiently to meet operational goals and customer expectations.
- Build and maintain a high-performing production team through training, coaching, and development.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and Kerry’s internal standards.
- Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste.
- Manage the production department within established budget parameters.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes continuous improvement and employee engagement.
- Partner with the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) officer to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.
- Oversee manufacturing processes to ensure products meet quality and specification standards.
- Identify and implement strategies to minimize production losses and downtime.
- Ensure food safety programs are effectively implemented and followed.
- Monitor and manage performance through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent production management experience required (minimum 3 years people leadership).
- Food manufacturing experience preferred, but open to other industry manufacturing experience.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams and processes.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Problem solving skills, ability to quickly adapt to unforeseen situations.
Compensation Data
The pay range for this position is $64,479 - $105,272 in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition, this position is also eligible to earn a performance-based incentive compensation.
