ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure tasks are delivered on time and design practices are consistently applied.
- Interface with design group and customers ensuring customer requirements are met and design intent is understood.
- Must design to current safety standards and procedures as the job requires while providing feedback to improve processes.
- Evaluate component sizes, weights, tolerances, and characteristics to meet design requirements and cost objectives.
- Assist in analysis of development test results and suggestions from engineering meetings and implement the changes required.
- Recommend improvements and incorporate necessary changes into robotic system, designs.
- Follow up on designs through the build process to create as build drawings.
- Have a working knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic systems, mechanical drive systems, servo motors, conveyers, and robotics.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Experience in SolidWorks and AutoCAD Design Software.
- Machine design and drafting knowledge.
- A good understanding of GD & T.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to travel to customer locations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Post-secondary education in technical or an engineering discipline.
- Coupled with 2+ years of experience in a related field.
COMPENSATION:
- Ranges from $34 - $40 per hour.
