The successful candidate will lead the planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of acute care services, ensuring they are safe, effective, patient-focused, and aligned with system-wide strategies. This includes supporting clinical and operational teams, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities, and developing robust action plans that enhance service quality and system integration.

The Executive Director will champion a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence. This involves fostering strong relationships with clinical leaders, physicians, system partners, community stakeholders, and other portfolios within the SHA. The role requires exceptional judgment, the ability to navigate complex and evolving health-care environments, and a commitment to transparent, collaborative leadership.

This includes guiding organizational change, supporting talent development, stewarding resources, and ensuring compliance with provincial standards, policies, and quality frameworks.
