Job Summary
This role is responsible for providing complex-level project management within the logistics operations function. Actively leads and addresses complex issues, driving tactical and strategic initiatives—including process standardization and project execution. The role monitors key performance metrics, identifies issues, and proposes solutions. Manages operational projects and collaborates on strategies with stakeholders to improve warehouse operations, quality, and logistics. Fosters relationships with stakeholders and requires independent analytical thinking and execution.
Responsibilities
• Lead and facilitate logistics projects to streamline and enable process efficiencies.
• Solve complex issues and drive tactical and strategic initiatives, lead process standardizations, execute program strategies, and coordinate integration across the team.
• Monitor projects, enable solutions, key metrics, and process-oriented tasks; identify issues and propose solutions with limited guidance.
• Hold responsibility for readiness, availability, and provide necessary data to meet timelines.
• Establish and manage project schedules, track progress, and review factors affecting schedules.
• Support the development of strategies to drive efficiency and effectiveness of warehouse operations, including inventory management, staging, and material handling processes, quality, and logistics.
• Collaborate with or lead teams to maintain and enhance current business objectives, such as cost-management.
• Identify and develop effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers of goods and services to manage supply and demand.
• Provide independent analytic and strategic support to experienced team members and support them in day-to-day operations.
• Mentor lower-level contributors and contribute to their growth in the organization.
• Plan and manage logistics, transportation, and warehousing projects.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Monitor budgets, timelines, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Education & Experience Recommended
· Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or any other related discipline, or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
· Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in procurement, supply chain, or a related field, or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
