Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) has technology, engineering and program teams that educate and mentor colleagues to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. The Advanced Electronic Warfare Solutions product line is seeking a highly experienced Program Area Director to provide strategic leadership across a portfolio of multi-disciplined development programs as well as new business capture efforts focused on winning positions in a competitive acquisition landscape.
This individual will be responsible for establishing product roadmaps, pursuing new business opportunities, driving program execution rigor, and fostering strong customer engagements. Success in this role relies on the cultivation of strong external and internal relationships at various levels with the US government, prime contractors, and BAE Systems executive ranks to understand customer needs and make market driven decisions.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Developing and presenting strategies, plans, and results to executive leaders and securing senior leadership buy-in and investment.
- Fostering a culture of innovative problem solving, performance excellence, and continuous improvement to deliver affordable, effective, and dependable solutions.
- Building and maintaining a culture that attracts, develops, and retains high-performing, diverse talent; and leading and mentoring to enhance employee performance, engagement, and overall team optimization.
- Ensuring compliance with all company standards for program excellence, business development and capture, including lifecycle management review processes, security requirements, and DFARS requirements.
- Demonstrating adherence to the company’s ethical standards and business practices; ensuring compliance with the BAE Systems Operational Assurance Framework and all other policies and requirements; providing for good stewardship of the assets of the business. Maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with safety objectives and policies.
