Description
Sportiqe Apparel is a screen print production facility. We are seeking an organized, and detail-oriented Production Associate to support our ink and QI groups to set up jobs and ensure accuracy.
The Ink Associate plays a crucial role in the screen printing process by preparing and managing inks, ensuring quality and consistency in the printing process. This role involves mixing inks, loading screens, cleaning equipment, and assisting with other tasks as needed.
The best Ink Mixer/Associate will be good with following formula instructions, has a good memory and attention to detail, and is comfortable using the computer. It is critical in this role to keep an organized, clean and safe workspace.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE - Ink Associate
- Accurately mix inks and chemicals according to color charts and customer specifications to ensure color matching.
- Weigh and measure raw materials for ink production.
- Load and unload inks into screens and printing equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized ink storage area including all ink mixing equipment.
- Properly dispose of used inks and cleaning materials.
- Help clean and reclaim screens after printing, removing ink and emulsion.
- Help with setting up and adjusting the printing press as needed.
- Report any quality issues to the Production Supervisor.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Assist with other tasks as assigned by the Print Shop Manager/Supervisor.
Requirements
WHO YOU ARE FOR THE TEAM - Ink Associate
- Some experience in screen printing or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to accurately mix and measure ingredients to match colors.
- Knowledge or ability to quickly learn different ink types and their properties.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time; lift and carry materials and work with equipment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changes.
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot ink-related issues.
- Knowledge of safe handling of inks and chemicals.
