JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective


Lead maintenance technician will be responsible for scheduling and providing mechanical and electrical support throughout the building to minimize equipment down time. He/she will also provide facilities and grounds maintenance as necessary. 

Essential Functions

  1. Schedule/Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment including conveying systems, pick modules, material handling equipment, ASRS System, etc. per manufacturers recommendations or internal PM schedules
  2. Troubleshoot, maintain and repair all equipment failures; employing outside vendors, as needed
  3. Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  4. Maintain company property and premise as necessary 
  5. Complete appropriate paperwork and audits to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations
  6. Partner with operations teams to ensure highest level of customer service

Preventative maintenance 

RF Scanners and Warehouse Management System Software

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Knowledge of FDA, DEA, OSHA regulations

Ability to work in walk-in refrigeration unit

Electrical and mechanical skills

Prioritization 

PLC’s and robotics is a plus

Supervisory Responsibility

Schedule and assign daily work.

Monitor work orders and preventive maintenance

Work Environment

This job operates in a climate-controlled warehouse setting. This role routinely uses and/or is exposed to material handling and packaging equipment, computers, handheld scanners, etc. Must be able to sit, stand, walk for 8 hours per day. Must be able to lift repetitively lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work at elevated heights (120 feet)

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday during day shift hours. Evening and weekend overtime work may be required as job duties demand. 

Travel

Limited travel may be required for training activities.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience:


High school diploma or equivalent; post high school technical education or certification is preferred.

At least 5 years of maintenance experience in a multi-craft environment
