Role Definition

The Support Organizations FP&A Accountant will be responsible for providing financial insight and direction for Solar’s Support Organizations (Finance, IT, and Global Process Excellence). They will guide the team through annual business plan, RBM cycles, and monthly report outs to ensure the organizations are meeting their financial targets.

Degree Requirement

Degree in Accounting and/or Finance preferred.

Effective Communications: Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Managing Multiple Priorities: Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.

Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.

Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.

Top Candidates Will Have the Following:

• 3-5+ of accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience in monthly variance analysis and presentation to executive level stakeholders.
• Demonstrated significant skills in communicating complex data to users with varying degrees of experience to build strong partnerships with the broader business team.

Summary Pay Range:

$108,834.00 - $163,252.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
