Responsibilities Shall include but are not limited to the following:
Attend meetings as needed
Follow directives (written, oral, electronic)
General custodian assignments
Perform all cleaning duties associated with the Cleaner position including but not limited to cleaning, dusting, moping, operating machinery, handling chemicals.
Maintain inventory for tools, equipment and supplies allocated to the facilities department for each building.
Develop work and cleaning schedules for the efficient use of cleaning staff during regular school days and school breaks.
Supervise and annually evaluate the work of cleaners.
Report any maintenance problem promptly to the Director of Facilities.
Regular inspections of doorways and windows
Snow and ice removal from designated areas
Garbage and waste removal from designated areas
Safe and proper lifting and maneuvering of classroom desks and chairs
Coordinate room set up as designated by staff members for meetings or events.
Prepare for extra-curricular events and activities as directed
Ensure that the buildings are secure during and at the end of shift as applicable
Respond in a timely manner to requests for service from staff members
Coordinate and the unloading and delivery of shipment containers to classrooms and common areas of the school
Coordinate repairs with vendors.
Able to interact in a professional manner with staff, students and visitors.
Maintain Data Security as applicable
Maintain confidentiality with students, staff, and family information.
Operate in a respectful, responsible manner
Other assigned duties and/or responsibilities which may be deemed appropriate by the Director of Facilities.
Reports to: Director of Facilities
Salary: Minimum starting salary $19.45 (negotiable based on experience) as per the Civil Service Employees Association agreement. Contracts can be found on the Victor Central School District website under the Human Resources tab.
