Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for safely troubleshooting, repairing and installing equipment within the manufacturing facility and ensuring that quality products are produced timely and efficiently.


Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate basic knowledge and proper use of hand tools
  • Troubleshoot and safely repair basic mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, and components
  • Effectively prioritize equipment issues in order of importance, manage downtime, and communicate issues to peers and leadership. Escalate issues to experts or external resources as needed
  • Read and interpret equipment drawings and OEM Manuals for packaging equipment
  • Read and follow instructions regarding daily expectations, requirements, or specifications
  • Accurately complete all work order and quality paperwork
  • Report environmental, health, and safety concerns to leadership
  • Troubleshoot and fix issues as they arise in a timely manner to allow production to meet business demands
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and maintenance shop
  • Follow all safety procedures and actively participate in safety training and safety system ownership initiatives
  • Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person; reports any injury, accident, or unsafe condition to supervisor immediately
  • Support and comply with GMP’s; understand and follow emergency action plan
  • Support food safety, quality, and legality
  • Ensure the operation is providing food-safe, quality products which meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications


  • Technical certification preferred
  • 3+ years of manufacturing facility maintenance experience
  • Basic technical skills include Mechanical, Troubleshooting, Pneumatics, Fluid Power, Hand Tools
  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills
  • Self-directed team player with ability to communicate effectively and complete projects in a timely manner
  • Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
  • Strong safety awareness
  • Positive attitude with ability to follow rules and directions
