The Opportunity
BDS is seeking a successful, driven Asset Management Specialist for our Asset Management Department, reporting directly to the Director of Asset Management. This position will provide top-tier customer support, assisting customers and internal teams in handling the management of their office technology. BDS is pleased to provide opportunities for advancement and customized career development. The candidate must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment with a high level of phone support skill, communication, organization, and detail.
Your Impact at BDS
- Assists in processing internal and 3rd party leases for office technology
- Prepare reports for the sales team, providing critical lease data ahead of the sale and ensuring the sales representative is fully set up for success in the sale
- Works directly with financing companies, negotiating pricing and disputes for our excellent customers
- Collaborate with our Warehouse and Purchasing teams to ensure accurate and timely returns of leased office technology.
- Work with our Accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate lease payments
- Read and Interpret Sales and Lease contracts to ensure 100% accurate follow through for all lease contract terms
- Work directly with our customer base to generate accurate and complete documentation for the close of lease and maintenance contracts
- Manage the shipping of leased assets to their final destination while preparing shipping quotes for customer presentation

Physical Demands
Sitting, standing, walking, light lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods to perform computer and telephone-based tasks. Must be able to operate a computer, telephone and keyboard. Close vision requirements due to computer work.
Requirements

- The ability to effectively triage and prioritize customer challenges
- A strong sense of digital fluency, ability to navigate web pages and different web-based portals

- Excellent Communication Skills, verbal and written
- Can-do Attitude and a willingness to learn
Required education or experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- A high degree of proficiency with MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
- A strong understanding of basic accounting principles
Preferred education and experience:
- Associate’s degree or higher preferred but not required
- Call Center experience preferred but not required
- CB or AC preferred but not required
