Responsibilities:What You’ll Do:
Design Tailored Interventions: Develop individualized programs to address deficits in motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills.
Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with school personnel and parents to create and implement individualized service plans (ISPs) that align with each student’s needs.
Support Growth: Offer consultation and guidance to teachers, school staff, and parents to support the implementation of therapy goals.
Conduct Assessments and Evaluations: Administer appropriate screening and diagnostic tests to evaluate motor, sensory, and functional skills.
Report and Document: Interpret assessment results, identify strengths and areas for improvement, and generate comprehensive reports for school personnel and parents.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Participate as a key member of the school’s multidisciplinary team, contributing to holistic student development.
Provide Training: Equip school staff with effective occupational therapy strategies to enhance student outcomes.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree and DESE certification as required by contract.
PREFERRED:
- Masters Degree, CCSs, or CFY.
- Experience in a school setting.
SCHEDULE:
- 8:45 - 3:30, Monday-Friday
- Part of the Early Education diagnostician team doing child observations M, W, F and meetings/administrative review T/R
