Job Overview:
The Vice President of Capital Markets is responsible for working with senior capital raisers to drive CenterSquare’s business development, investor relations, and consultant relations efforts spanning the firm’s private equity real estate, private debt real estate, and listed real estate strategies. The position requires a highly motivated professional to contribute in a team atmosphere, working to provide support and partnership to senior capital raisers in our effort to expand, maintain, and develop new opportunities. The Vice President is also expected to develop and manage their own pipeline of opportunities to result in raising capital for the firm, as well as manage their own book of clients.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Maintain strong partnership with senior capital raisers to drive opportunities across assigned territories. Manage a book of clients, prospects, and consultants for which you are responsible to retain/drive new business
- Assist with prospect mapping and research to develop action plans across offerings, as well as execute these action plans in partnership with senior capital raisers
- Participate in and in some cases conduct client, prospect, and consultant calls
- Contribute to achieving capital raising goals through proactively identifying suitable investors, proposing/executing engagement plans and assisting prospective investors with due diligence work
- Capture and maintain Salesforce data, including adding new accounts, contacts, and recent real estate investment activity
- Assist with coordination of client portfolio reviews and ad hoc requests
- Perform competitor analysis to assess outside managers, strategies, and competitive advantages
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in real estate or finance-related field required
- Approximately 3-6 years of experience in financial services firm; knowledge of investment management, private equity and investor relations
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Strong PowerPoint skills preferred
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM system
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Ability to prioritize and execute effectively
- Overnight travel required
- Series 7 and 63 licensing is required though it can be attained in the first 6 months in the position
