Scope and responsibilities

The Diligence & Reporting team is responsible for managing the coordination and submission of Request for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) for Oaktree clients and prospects globally. The Firm Analytics Analyst will support current and prospective clients/consultants in responding to their quantitative ad-hoc and recurring requests related to diligence and ongoing monitoring efforts. Additionally, this role will serve as a firm resource for analysis related to Oaktree’s assets under management and clients.

Select responsibilities include:

  • Performing ad-hoc and recurring reporting and analysis related to AUM and client data;

  • Support diligence and client inquiries, as part of RFPs or ad-hoc requests;

  • Maintaining accounts gained and lost data; performing reporting and analysis related to firm and strategy account changes;

  • Updating and performing quality control on third-party and consultant website databases;

  • Interacting with functional areas across the organization, including but not limited to capital formation, client services, accounting, compliance, and legal to complete projects and requests

  • Identifying and executing opportunities to build efficiencies through process and technological improvements;

  • Executing various other quantitative tasks and projects as required.

Experience required

  • 4+ years of experience within a finance or accounting role, preferably within the investment management industry

  • Familiarity with credit, real estate, private equity and listed equity asset classes

  • Solid analytical skills and ability to resolve and reconcile complex data issues

  • Experience responding to RFP and client-related inquiries involving firm, strategy-, and fund-level quantitative information

  • Strong quantitative skills supported by an ability to apply a clear understanding of underlying finance and investment concepts

  • Proven ability to prioritize high volumes of work while maintaining the highest quality standards

  • Ability to interpret data and craft thoughtful analysis for a wide range of audiences

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Knowledge of Salesforce a plus
