You will drive the development and execution of strategies for the region while ensuring best-in-class marketing. With the delivery of value and insights, creativity, and engagement you are expected to build stronger customer relationships and generate growth. You will leverage consumer insights, market data, technical knowledge and business intelligence to support the financial performance of the region. You will bring strong communication and influencing skills to address challenges in a fast-moving environment.

Demonstrating ability to become the trusted partner of multiple internal stakeholders (e.g. product management, sales, innovation, communication) will be key to gain commitment at all levels in the organization. You will be expected to turn plans into actions and to engage customers by developing and presenting insightful marketing content. You will have an ability to deliver valuable category insight, be curious about markets and consumers, demonstrate passion for food and beverages and therefore produce uncommon presentations that have commercial relevance along with innovative ideas that create an experience.

Good presentation skills and being comfortable when presenting to customers is a prerequisite. The role will report directly to the Regional Marketing Director for Food Ingredients in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Where You’ll Make a Difference

  • Build strong knowledge of our business, portfolio and regional market dynamics, bringing forward relevant insights and recommendations that impact business direction and decisions for your category.
  • Engage with customers, understand their needs, and identify opportunities for growth leveraging our value propositions
  • Lead a cross-functional team by influence in the development of annual growth plans. Build on industry insights, business strategies and overall capabilities to define key initiatives, tactics and resources required to grow and defend IFF business.
  • Ensure the execution and roll-out of the regional plan, monitor and report progress to the EMEA leadership team on a quarterly basis. Track progress against key financial targets, opportunity pipeline targets and milestones for key initiatives. Highlight corrective actions required and decisions to be made.
  • Marketing communication and event management when needed (exhibitions, conferences, food safaris, communication planning etc.).
  • Activation of the IFF brand to drive value and differentiation across the customer journey in a compelling, creative and inspiring way.
  • Partner with internal customers / stakeholders to ensure strategies align to overall business objectives.
     

What Makes You the Right Fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field. Master’s or MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of marketing experience, B2C or B2B, in food ingredient industry or FMCG
  • Experience within the Bakery industry is a plus
  • Proven success designing and executing marketing and communications strategies and campaigns
  • Strong presentation and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to analyze market and financial data, generate consumer and customer insights and recommend actions based on findings
  • Affinity for developing creative marketing tools and visuals that meet the IFF brand
  • Willing and able to travel up to 20% or more
  • Fluent in English – any additional European language is a plus
