We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Service Coordinator to join our team in Mount Isa to be the central point of contact for our customers and technicians, coordinating job requirements, allocating labour, managing work orders, and keeping customers informed every step of the way. This is a Permanent, Monday to Friday role.

What you’ll be doing:
As a Service Coordinator at Hastings Deering, you will:
- Coordinate daily service activities and technical schedules – Ensure smooth operations by managing service tasks and technician schedules effectively.
- Create, manage and close work orders – Maintain accuracy and compliance with company processes throughout the job lifecycle.
- Maintain strong communication – keep customers updated on quotes, variations, progress, and invoicing.
- Liaise with technicians, parts and workshop teams – Foster collaboration to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Ensure accurate records – manage documentation, labour hours, and invoicing in Microsoft AX to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitor job progress and resolve delays – Proactively identify issues and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Ensure safety and compliance requirements are met – Uphold the highest standards of workplace health, safety, and regulatory compliance.
What you’ll need:
A successful teammate will have experience in:
- Qualified and experienced – hold relevant qualifications in Business Administration or similar
- Industry knowledge – previous experience in service coordination, scheduling, or administration within mechanical, automotive, or heavy equipment industries.
- Systems capability – confident with computing, including Microsoft AX and Power BI.
- Safety focused – committed to maintaining the highest standards of workplace health and safety.
- Customer-oriented communicator – highly developed verbal and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service.
- Thrives under pressure – able to perform in a fast-paced environment and consistently deliver on expectations.
