We have two roles available, a Permanent and 12-month Max-Term Contract role, located in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney).

 


What You'll Do


• Underwrite complex professional risks to deliver strong, profitable outcomes

• Work autonomously across small to large accounts, covering both new business and renewals.

• Provide exceptional service to broking partners and internal stakeholders, ranging from suburban firms to international brokerage.

• Grow the portfolio through market engagement, relationship building, and strategic initiatives.

• Be market-facing, confident, and commercially savvy in your approach. 

• Support and mentor less experienced team members to build capability across the team.

• Collaborate with internal teams to meet financial targets and strategic goals

• Contribute to a safe and inclusive workplace by following IAG’s health and safety practices


What You'll Bring


• 5+ years’ experience in underwriting or broking professional risks (financial lines)

• Strong technical understanding of Professional Indemnity insurance and Directors & Officers Liability insurance products

• Confident communicator with effective negotiation skills

• Analytical mindset with sound judgement and decision-making ability

• Collaborative approach with a willingness to support and mentor others

• Commercial awareness, outcome-focused and proactive in market engagement

• Open to feedback and committed to continuous learning and development
