SUMMARY

The Operations Scheduler supports planning, coordinating and optimizing production and operational schedules to ensure timely delivery of products. This role is critical for aligning manufacturing and development activities with client demands, regulatory requirements, and resource availability.   


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


Essential Functions

  • Develop and maintain dynamic manufacturing/ development schedules to meet client timelines and internal capacity
  • Manage Site Master Plan
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Facilities, Program Management) to align schedules and resolve conflicts
  • Adjust schedules based on material availability, equipment readiness etc.
  • Schedule equipment calibration, validation and maintenance activities to ensure GMP compliance
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to minimize downtime and avoid production delays
  • Analyze production and planning data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Allocate personnel, equipment, and materials efficiently across multiple projects, clients, and product lines.
  • Perform scenario analysis to support key strategic initiatives and site priorities
  • Host weekly calls with stakeholders to review schedules
  • Communicate with leadership on status and escalations
  • Generate reports on schedule performance and key metrics for management review.
  • Support S&OP process by providing scheduling inputs, capacity analysis, and aligning production plans with demand forecasts.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and commercial teams to ensure production schedules reflect S&OP outcomes and business priorities.


JOB REQUIREMENTS


Education and experience

  • Fluent in Microsoft Project 
  • 4-year degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or Business
  • 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role, 5 of which is in a CDMO space that has both development and manufacturing capabilities
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with S&OP

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong understanding of GMP and regulatory compliance. 
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and scheduling software 
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision-making
