Your role at Clorox:

Clorox is seeking a Vice President, Enterprise Strategy & Transformation to serve as a senior strategic partner to the company’s leadership, working directly with the Chief Executive Officer and Clorox Executive Committee. This is a pivotal enterprise role that will shape the company’s strategic direction, sharpen business unit strategies, ensure connectivity between strategy and our multi-year plans (MYP) and integrate Clorox’s most significant transformation efforts into a coherent, visible, and strategically aligned agenda.
This is not a program management or PMO position. It is a strategic integrator role for an accomplished strategist. This leader will help Clorox make its most important strategic choices, connect strategy to execution and value creation, and ensure that transformation efforts across the company — from ERP and integrated business planning (IBP) to retail channel shifts, innovation, and portfolio evolution (organic and MA&D) — are mutually reinforcing and driving toward a unified enterprise ambition.
This leader will also build and lead a small, high-impact strategy team that serves as a trusted enterprise resource and can be a valuable training ground for future Clorox leaders.

In this role, you will:

Enterprise Strategy

  • Partner with the Executive Committee to define and continuously refine Clorox’s enterprise strategy (IGNITE), grounded in a robust fact base, external insights, and market trends.
  • Clarify and prioritize the company’s most important strategic choices, including where to play, how to win, and how to allocate resources.
  • Translate strategic choices into implications for portfolio shaping, capability building, and operating model evolution, and partner with Finance, Corporate Communications and Investor Relations to craft compelling internal and external narratives.

Business Unit Strategy

  • Partner with GMs to sharpen business unit strategies, ensuring they are ambitious, grounded in sound strategic choices, and aligned with the enterprise strategy.
  • Guide business units through the strategy cycle and help translate enterprise priorities into actionable plans and measurable outcomes that are sufficient.

Transformation Integration

  • Serve as the strategic integrator for Clorox’s most important enterprise transformation efforts, ensuring that ambitions, plans, and outcomes are visible and strategically coherent.
  • Connect initiatives such as ERP, IBP, digital commerce, sustainability, and operating model evolution into a unified enterprise agenda, surfacing dependencies, overlaps, and trade-offs.
  • Provide strategic steering and clarity without taking on delivery ownership, enabling initiative owners to execute more effectively.

Strategy Cadence and Decision-Making

  • Lead the annual enterprise strategy and planning process (multi-year planning, or “MYP”), aligning top-down priorities with bottom-up plans and building a dynamic, “always-on” strategy capability.
  • Facilitate key enterprise decision-making routines, framing critical choices, structuring trade-offs, and enabling faster, sharper decisions.
  • Use the strategy team as a development platform for high-potential leaders through rotational assignments that prepare them for elevated roles.

What we look for:

The ideal candidate is a highly strategic, analytically rigorous, consumer-centric and collaborative leader who combines strong enterprise thinking with the ability to integrate across diverse agendas. Potentially a partner or principal-level leader from a top-tier strategy consulting firm, they bring experience advising large consumer goods or adjacent companies on enterprise strategy, portfolio shaping, and transformation. They have a proven ability to frame complex issues, influence senior leaders, and translate strategic choices into measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in top-tier management consulting or equivalent corporate strategy leadership roles, ideally with exposure to CPG or consumer-facing industries.
  • Track record of shaping enterprise and business unit strategies and driving value creation through strategic choices.
  • Experience integrating complex transformation agendas and surfacing trade-offs across functions and business units.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with a deep understanding of consumer, category, and retailer dynamics.
  • Exceptional problem-structuring, synthesis, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align senior leaders.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

The Person

This is a role for a strategist who wants to shape the future of a Fortune 500 company from the inside. The successful candidate will bring intellectual curiosity, courage, and the ability to challenge assumptions while building trust and alignment. They will be equally comfortable working at enterprise altitude and diving into the details of business unit strategies. Importantly, they will be a connector — integrating diverse initiatives, surfacing the most important choices, and helping Clorox move forward with clarity, coherence, and conviction.
