The Senior Network Engineer is a member of the CCOE team and must have a strong understanding of cloud services and collaborate with a group of cross-functional application developers, infrastructure engineers, and security specialists to promote cloud-first architecture and implementations. You will lead the implementation of large-scale cloud networks/circuits and address any information governance and security challenges associated with running workloads in the public clouds.

You will lead the implementation of large-scale cloud networks/circuits and address any information governance and security challenges associated with running workloads in the public clouds.
Job responsibilities:
- Provide expertise and serve as a member of the public cloud networking team focused on network infrastructure for the public cloud environment and hybrid cloud connectivity.
- Provide day-2 operation support for the existing public cloud infrastructure.
- Work cross-functionally and identify the right cloud network architecture solutions to meet the strategic needs of the business.
- Develop network baselines and standards for public cloud resources, including Network access, Restriction of internet-facing resource provision, and configuration within the public cloud environment.
- Lead and implement all aspects of a cloud migration initiative, including its impact on infrastructure, networks, and security.
- Responsible for designing and implementing Azure VNets, Wide-area networks, VPNs, Firewalls, and related circuits, services, and devices.
- Work with the IT Network Infrastructure Team, Solution Architects, and Cloud Operations Team with any network-related issues.
- Define standards and best practices for deploying and implementing network resources in the public cloud.
- Responsible for monitoring network availability and capacity utilization to meet committed availability and quality of service objectives.
- Participate in on-call duties and after-hours duties.
- Travel to remote offices as needed.
- Conduct after-hours maintenance as needed.

Year End Bonus
As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related analytical field, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience working in Public Cloud or Enterprise Data Center Networks.
- 4+ years of experience working with network monitoring tools.
- 3+ years of experience provisioning, designing, and supporting public cloud networking infrastructure such as VNets, subnets, network security groups, route tables, VPC, and DNS.
- 2+ years of experience in implementing and managing enterprise network virtual appliances in the public cloud such as Palo Alto Firewalls.
- 2+ years of experience in implementing and managing enterprise network DNS solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in network designs, routing, Software Defined Networks (SDN), Virtual Networks, Subnets, IPAM, DNS, TCP/IP, IPv4.
- Hands-on experience in implementing and troubleshooting Azure ExpressRoute or GCP Cloud Interconnect.
- Hands-on experience in implementing and troubleshooting BGP.
- Hands-on experience in implementing and troubleshooting Content Delivery Network (CDN).
- Hands-on experience with using, configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure in Azure or other Public Cloud providers.
- Hands-on experience deploying infrastructure using Terraform using DevOps pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco SD-WAN platform.
- Hands-on experience writing Terraform.
- AZ 301/303 or AZ 302/304/305 or Az-700 Azure Architect Certifications.
- Experience in public cloud security tools such as Azure AD, Azure Security Center, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Policies.
- Experience in multi-cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience writing scripts using Bash, PowerShell, Python or Azure CLI or respective cloud provider CLI.
- Experience with one or more source control systems (Git, Azure DevOps).
- Experience with one or more of the following areas Open vSwitch (OVS), Open Virtual Network (OVN), Envoy, service mesh, eBPF
- Experience in PaaS services such as Azure AppService, Azure Kubernetes services, AWS Bean Stalk, GCP App Engine, etc.
