Position Summary
We are seeking rising Seniors to apply for our Capital Markets Analyst Internship. The Capital Markets Analyst Intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including conducting detailed financial analysis on real estate transactions. This includes whole loan and securities trades, new investments into unique loan products, supporting secured borrowings from existing credit facilities and securitizations, assisting with new transactions and projects, loan level due diligence, supporting financial and management reporting, as well as ad hoc data analysis. The goal at the completion of the summer is to gain a working knowledge of the capital flows within the lending business. You will leave the summer internship with the ability to conduct valuation analysis for both real estate transactions as well as loan trades, along with the understanding of how we finance our operations. The goal of summer internship program is to reward high-performing individuals with an offer to return full-time to CoreVest upon graduation depending on business unit needs.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Analyze financial model output and company information to prioritize data and present conclusions to VP Capital Markets and SVP Capital Markets.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive company, industry, and market research.
- Provide assistance to senior Capital Markets team members in implementing capital markets initiatives, product positioning, developing new products, expanding distribution channels, executing transaction financings and identifying growth opportunities
- Support individual borrowing transactions under one or more of the Company’s credit facilities.
- Support activities related to the Company’s bond issuance that provides permanent financing for its loans backed by real estate.
- Able to work in a fluid environment, providing accurate information-- often on short timelines
Required Experience, Skills, & Competencies
Education and Background:
- Current undergraduates (rising seniors) pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Engineering, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; financial modelling skills is a plus.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and strong desire to understand complex financial instruments, including Treasury futures, mortgage loans, and RMBS/CMBS securities.
- Basic understanding of discounted cash flow analysis and the three (3) financial statements; especially as they relate to real estate and securities.

Other Requirements
- Available for full-time participation during the summer program (June–August 2026).
- In-office presence required 4 to 5 days a week depending on location and project needs.
A reasonable estimate of the total compensation range for this role is $27/hr.
