Miller and Miller Law Group is growing and we are seeking a senior level Estate Planning and Elder Law Attorney who is ready to take ownership of our Brooklyn office. About the Role
You will manage client matters from beginning to end. This includes consultations, design meetings, strategy discussions, drafting, signing appointments, and follow-through. You will lead the Brooklyn office with the support of an intake coordinator currently onsite. The firm plans to add another paralegal once the right attorney is in place, giving you the resources you need to run the office effectively. You will handle estate planning, elder law, Medicaid planning, and ongoing estate and trust administration work. You will work closely with Dan who will continue to generate business, while you direct the client experience, drafting quality, workflow, and office operations.

You communicate clearly and directly, helping clients understand their options. Your drafting work is accurate and timely. You manage the office confidently and maintain smooth daily operations. Your leadership strengthens relationships with clients, staff, and the firm. You work independently while keeping the team informed. Estate administration clients feel supported and organized. Your presence enables the firm to grow the Brooklyn office, including expanding staff under your direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Explain estate planning concepts in clear, accessible language.
- Conduct consultations, design meetings, follow up discussions, and signing appointments.
- Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents.
- Guide clients through Medicaid planning. Manage estate, probate, and trust administration.
- Lead the Brooklyn office and coordinate with the intake coordinator.
- Work with leadership on workflow, client experience, and future office growth.
Requirements

- Strong understanding of estate planning, elder law, and Medicaid planning.

Bonus Skills
- Experience with ElderCounsel or WealthCounsel.
- Familiarity with Medicaid qualification and application processes.
- Bilingual abilities.
Qualifications
- JD degree and active license and in good standing with the New York Bar.
- 3-5 years’ experience in estate planning, elder law, and trust and estates work.
- Experience handling matters from beginning to end.
- Strong communication skills in sensitive or emotional situations.
