Job Description:
Fanshawe College is seeking interested and experienced paramedics to teach part-time in the Paramedic (PCP) Dual-Credit Program at the St. Thomas/Elgin Regional campus.
Reporting to the Associate Dean, St. Thomas Elgin Regional Campus, part-time professors are responsible for teaching courses within the Paramedic program, facilitating medical simulations and developing an effective learning environment for students.
Successful candidates will be required to perform work within Ontario and must be available to work on campus, as required.
Note: This is a part-time temporary Faculty position (up to 6 hours per week) starting January 2026 and ending June 2026. This position is located at Fanshawe's St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus, 120 Bill Martyn Parkway, St. Thomas, Ontario.
General Qualifications:
Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
Excellent communicator (verbal and written)
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
Strong technical/computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies are required
Related industry work experience, previous college teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets
Specific Qualifications:
Post-secondary credential or 4-year relevant Bachelor's degree in a related discipline required
Master's degree in a related discipline or a Master's degree in progress an asset
Minimum 5 years' of recent and relevant industry experience as a Paramedic
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Advanced Emergency Medical Care Assistant (AEMCA) Certification required
Currently in good standing with an Ontario base hospital
