The Finance Intern will provide support to the Project Controls Team within ABS Group’s Finance department. This position is ideal for a motivated individual looking to build hands-on experience in project controls, financial reporting, and data analysis within a global organization. The intern will gain insights into key business processes, tools, and methodologies while contributing to the team’s success.
What You Will Do:
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial data related to project budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Assist in setting up, modifying, and closing projects within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Assist with data entry, record-keeping, revenue/cost accrual preparation, and review of project documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support the development and monitoring of project schedules and financial reports to ensure compliance with established timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with project managers and financial analysts to track project expenses, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Participate in audits and reviews of project financials to identify process improvements.
- Conduct analysis to uncover trends and insights, helping drive more effective decision-making within the team.
What You Will Need:
Education and Experience
- Currently enrolled as a student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with other tools like Power BI or ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team environment.
- Self-starter with a detail-oriented mindset and the ability to manage tasks independently.
