About Us

AI Paralegal - Zero-Config CRM is a member of the ATI group of companies - the leading provider of Legal Practice Management Solutions in the world. Over a 30-year period we've expanded across Australia, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, Poland and New Zealand and support more than 70,000 lawyers and their staff in small and medium sized law firms. We owe our success to our curiosity and commitment to our guiding purpose, to ‘Help lawyers who help people’.

We're part of the brand-new "AI Paralegal" initiative – building the future of legal practice technology. Our "Zero-Config CRM" team is focused on the "business of law" component: a next-generation, agent-first CRM built specifically for legal practices. We're combining 30+ years of legal domain expertise, proprietary content and playbooks, with modern AI agent frameworks to create something that simply works – zero configuration, instant value, proactive intelligence,

What you'll do

Working with experts in the legal industry and the wider AI Paralegal group, you will help build the business of law CRM that sits at the heart of our future platform. You will join as an early Senior Full Stack Engineer on a small founding team, creating a zero config, agent first CRM that lets law firms manage relationships, pipeline, and follow up with minimal setup.

You will combine 30 plus years of legal domain expertise, proprietary content and playbooks with modern AI agent frameworks and a modern web stack to create something that simply works for busy firms. You will shape core architecture, ship production features across the stack, and design integration points so other AI Paralegal products can plug into the CRM surface. This is a hands on, high impact role where strong engineering skills, product thinking, and curiosity about how law firms really operate come together to build a core part of the company's future.

We're looking for founding team members who want to shape the future of legal AI. If you're excited by early-stage ambiguity, customer-focused decision making, and building something genuinely innovative, we want to hear from you.

To make this happen, you will:

  • Write production code across the full stack – from AI agent orchestration to frontend UI
  • Contribute to architecture and technology decisions – including which AI agent frameworks to use
  • Work directly with customers and legal experts to understand workflows and build solutions that actually help
  • Partner with product and design to define features and user experiences
  • Build prototypes quickly, iterate based on feedback, and ship features that deliver real value
  • Navigate ambiguity and uncertainty with confidence – this is early-stage, fast-moving work
  • Set high standards for code quality and help establish engineering best practices

What you'll bring

You’ll need 5+ years of commercial experience in full-stack web development, along with:

  • Front End: Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, Bun, Next.js and other modern web development frameworks
  • Backend: Strong knowledge of database systems and data modelling, as well as at least one backend language or platform
  • AI/Agents: Curiosity and willingness to work with emerging AI agent frameworks (we haven't decided on our stack yet – you'll help shape that)
  • You can contribute towards software architecture and make thoughtful design decisions in an evolving, uncertain environment
  • You know what good looks like when building great software products from scratch

You are the type of person who

  • Thrives in ambiguity and early-stage environments. You're comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and iterating based on feedback
  • Thinks about the user with every technical decision. You talk to customers, understand their workflows, and build solutions that actually solve problems
  • Writes pragmatic and simple code that achieves the desired commercial outcome. You understand the trade-offs between quality and velocity and strike the right balance for an early-stage product
  • Asks questions relentlessly. You're hungry to understand the "why" behind what we're building and challenge assumptions when needed
  • Is clear and concise in verbal and written communication
  • Believes they can build world-class legal AI. You're excited by the challenge of creating genuinely intelligent, proactive software that transforms how lawyers work
  • Wants the startup experience without the financial risk. You want to build something from zero with autonomy and ownership, backed by real resources

Zero-Config CRM is an inclusive, people-first company committed to breaking down institutional barriers that keep people from reaching their potential. If you meet some, but not all the requirements above, we encourage you to still submit your application.
