- Performs routine computerized scheduling and administrative functions in an ambulatory or physician office setting.

- Department Manager
- Medical Office Manager

Responsibilities:
✅ Essential Functions
Policy & Compliance
- Adheres to Orlando Health policies, procedures, value statements, and Commitment to Excellence standards.
- Maintains compliance with all organizational policies and procedures.
Administrative Duties
- Handles multiple tasks simultaneously including answering phones, taking messages, and filing lab reports and medical records.
- Performs word processing and spreadsheet data entry.
- Manages charge entry and cash handling.
Patient & Insurance Coordination
- Acts as a liaison between physician, patient, and insurance companies.
- Obtains referrals and authorizations.
- Ensures insurance and financial information is verified and updated in billing systems.
Attendance
- Maintains regular, punctual attendance in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and Orlando Health standards.
🎓 Education/Training
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Typing speed of approximately 30 words per minute or ability to demonstrate proficiency with the practice management computer system.
- Knowledge of ICD (International Classification of Diseases) and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) coding.
💼 Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a medical office environment.
