Job Duties:
- Make rounds, assessing patients’ condition with appropriate follow-up. Make rounds with physicians, accurately transcribing and implementing orders. Assist with physical exams and other procedures as needed.
- Preparation, administration and documentation of all medications, treatments and IV therapy as ordered.
- Documentation of various reports, nurses’ notes/medical records as required and necessary.
- Initiate First Aid/CPR in emergencies.
- Performs all other related duties as required in order to maintain the smooth operation of the Nursing Services Department and Villa Feliciana Medical Complex.
Position-Specific Details:
Location: This vacancy is located in the Nursing Department of LDH/OAAS/Villa Feliciana Medical Complex, Jackson, Louisiana.
Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, or Detail to Special Duty
Career Progression: This position may be filled as a Practical Nurse Licensed 1, 2, or 3
Work Schedule: 12 hours with rotating weekends. The shift is 5:45 pm - 6:15 am.
Compensation: The Practical Nurse Licensed 1 offers a Special Entrance Rate of $19.48 hourly, along with premium pay of up to $15.00 per hour worked. This is the minimum compensation that may be offered. The job title and salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
