What you will do
- Restock medications in automated dispensing machines at inpatient hospice facilities.
- Receive and document medication restock packages upon arrival at the facility.
- Verify medication expiration dates and remove expired products following safety protocols.
- Complete required sign-offs for all restocked medications before leaving the site.
- Prepare and ship expired medications back to the pharmacy.
- Select, count, and verify medications using established procedures and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and compliant dispensing machine and report binder.
- Assist with general inventory counts and inventory control processes.
- Partner with pharmacy and hospice teams to resolve restocking or inventory needs.
- Adhere to HIPAA and patient privacy requirements.
What we look for
- Experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of pharmacy or medical terminology, abbreviations, and symbols.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to use web-based tools and basic software systems.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and customer service.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.
- Experience with automated dispensing machines preferred.
- Hospice or palliative care experience preferred.
