- Works collaboratively with the Program Director on developing and maintaining community relationships and linkages.
- Provides clinical supervision to the Clinical Team Lead(s) and Therapeutic Coach Team Lead(s) and group clinical supervision to the Clinical Team Coordinators in assigned region.
- Works with the Medical Director to provide weekly clinical consult to Coordinators/Team Leads on START recipients with complex presentations.
- Collaborates with other members of the START leadership team to monitor quality of START service delivery in assigned region and assures fidelity to the START model.
- Provides oversight and consultation on positive behavior and interaction supports.
- Reviews START related documentation and provides clinical input.
- Provides training and consultation to staff, families and providers.
- Plans and facilitates monthly Clinical Education Team (CET) meetings.
- Assists START Coordinators with preparation for START Coordinator certification.
- Takes active clinical leadership role in team meetings.
- Enters, monitors and assures accurate, complete and timely data entry for all team members in the START Information Reporting System and any other applicable systems. Uses data to inform programmatic decision-making in collaboration with leadership team.
- Provides coverage performing all duties of team leader, coordinator or other START roles as required.
- Serves as Administrator-on-Call (Available/On Call Supervisor) on a regular, rotating basis with other program leadership and provides coverage participating in 24/7 on-call crisis support, if needed.
- Complies with and ensures compliance with all Federal, State, Local and other relevant regulatory agency requirements, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and cooperation with appropriate entities in any inspection, inquiry or investigation.
- Participates in discussions regarding potential resource center admissions, if applicable.
- Provides on-site consultation as needed for persons receiving START therapeutic supports, if applicable.
- Develops positive support and interaction plans as necessary for persons supported at the resource center, who require more extensive safety measures, if applicable.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Ph.D. in Psychology and
- Valid license and current registration to practice psychology in state of assignment; and
- Extensive experience in intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), specifically with people who have I/DD and behavioral health needs; or
- Satisfactory combination of education, experience and/or training as authorized by START/NCSS and/or appropriate State regulatory agency (e.g. OPWDD, etc.); however, all Clinical Directors must have at least a Master’s degree in human services discipline.
- Must hold or successfully complete START Coordinator Certification training within 6-12 months of appointment, including demonstration of competencies in all associated areas.
- Valid Driver’s License required for New Jersey assignments; strongly preferred for New York assignments, especially in areas with limited public transportation.
- Ability to respond to calls and programmatic needs beyond regular work hours to support programs under supervision, including participating in on-call crisis coverage as needed.
- Ability to attend all mandated NCSS and Regional Center trainings.
- Ability to travel regularly across assigned region(s) as required by caseload and to occasionally travel across other regions within state of operations and/or to other states as needed for meetings, NCSS events or as requested.
- Experience developing and implementing positive behavior support plans
- Prior experience as a START Coordinator and/or START clinical team leader
- Current START Coordinator Certification
- Salary is up to 100000 USD annually
