Natural Resources/NEPA Professional – Tulsa, Oklahoma and Oklahoma City
TTL is searching for an environmental professional to join our team in Oklahoma. In this role you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of project types and teams. This role will provide support and coordination with environmental agencies to address environmental concerns and will be responsible for managing multiple projects. The ideal candidate has experience with energy and transportation projects, as well as natural resources, NEPA and related permitting experience.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Monitor, observe, sample, and record field environmental conditions accurately and consistently.
- Follow proper procedures, perform accurate computations, and maintain professional, collaborative relationships with coworkers, clients, and contractors.
- Prepare daily reports, data sheets, and detailed technical documentation summarizing findings, analyses, and recommendations for clients and regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies and their natural resource permit requirements.
- Prepare and lead the preparation of NEPA documents (CE, EA, EIS) for transportation and/or energy projects.
- Prepare US Corps of Engineers (USACE) permit applications for impacts to streams and wetlands and notifications for nationwide and individual USACE permits with limited supervision.
- Conduct and oversee aquatic resource delineations and prepare associated reports; must be capable of leading field crews of less experienced personnel.
- Conduct and oversee habitat surveys for threatened and endangered species and coordinate with US Fish and Wildlife Service.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess and evaluate environmental risks, impacts, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure all work is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with project requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Support project management activities including safety oversight, cost estimating, proposal preparation, scheduling, staffing coordination, cost control, invoicing, and report review.
- Stay informed on current environmental regulations, trends, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, geology, planning or related science degree; M.S. and a professional certifications/registrations are a plus.
- 8 to 12 years of progressive experience in environmental consulting in the Tulsa and/or Oklahoma City market
- Extensive documented experience with linear corridor projects in the energy and/or transportation sectors.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-developed project management skills.
- Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in team environments.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
