Qualifications
Summary:
Under the direction of the Coordinator of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services (or designee), the Criminal Justice Behavioral Health Liaison provides resources and or linkage services to adults involved in the criminal justice system or at risk of incarceration.
Job Responsibilities:
- Meet CJBHL contract requirements by conducting intakes or provide linkage for services as needed.
- Arrange or facilitate trainings in the community with those involved in mental health services and law enforcement regarding issues concerning mental and criminal justice system etc. as required by CJL contract.
- Makes referrals to appropriate level of services based on the individual’s needs.
- Assists the individual with facilitation to identified services to address CJ/MH/SA needs.
- Assists CJBHL clients in working toward completion of identified goals in their Release Plan.
- Participates in monthly group supervision with CJBHLs and Coordinator of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services and individual supervision with Supervisor.
- Completes all required reports and other documentation within specified timeframes.
- Follows all guidelines outlined in the CAREY Policies and Procedures Manual including Corporate Compliance Policies.
- Is expected to have regular and predictable attendance and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Other assigned duties by supervisor or management to meet the needs of the organization.
Position Qualification:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, or a related field. Experience in a mental health or social service agency is desirable but not required.
