ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Runs and monitors truck scale program.
  • Answers phones in professional manner, direct calls, or assist caller.
  • Determines maximum allowable weight for each truck.
  • Collects fees by handling payment transactions at the scale.
  • Files, creates and maintains spreadsheets containing customer data.
  • General office maintenance: miscellaneous administrative duties as needed.
  • Works closely with accounting and revenue staff to gather information from sales system and distribute accordingly.
  • Maintains detailed records of incoming/outgoing loads that cross the scales and prepares reports as needed.
  • Maintains work area and equipment in a safe and clean condition at all times.
  • Greets customers in a professional and polite manner.
  • Prepares scales for daily use; ability to maintain scales
  • Run customer invoices weekly and mail.
  • Maintain customer invoice history and ticket files.
  • Acts as supporting back up for other admin positions.
  • Knowledge of MRP and accounting software, preferred.
  • This position will require cross training in other departments for administrative support

Schedule Expectation:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Reliability, enthusiasm, teamwork.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills: ability to get along with diverse personalities.
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbs.; work is primarily in an office setting but may require sitting/standing for extended periods of time
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • · Readiness for flexible working hours; reliability, enthusiasm, interested in teamwork
