Following the decision by the Australian Government to acquire UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters from the US Government, Lockheed Martin Australia  has established a core team of experienced military Rotary Wing professionals to support the initial procurement and ongoing sustainment activities. The modern-day, 3rd Generation UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter is the world’s leading multi-role battlefield and special operations helicopter with a proven legacy of exceptional capability and reliability. We are pleased to invite applications for the position of Site Manager, Operations Support to join our UH-60M Black Hawk team at UHSPO, Gallipoli Barracks, Enoggera.

About you:

To be successful it's essential you demonstrate the following:
  • Extensive experience managing Sustainment, Engineering or Logistics in a Defence DASA regulated environment.
  • Extensive Project Management experience, with the ability to manage across multiple disciplines with competing priorities.
  •  Strong demonstrated managing customer relations.
  • Extensive experience managing a distributed multi-disciplinary workforce.
  • Extensive communications skills.
  • Extensive experience establishing strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Further, you will ideally demonstrate:
  • Experience in DASR Part 21J, Part M or Part 145 organisations.
  • Defence Experience.
  • Risk Management Experience.
  • Organisational Change Experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

Reporting to the UH-60M Embedded Services Manager, this role is responsible for Operations Support within the Embedded Service Team at UHSPO. This position is the primary point of contact with the Commonwealth site representative for all site related actions and with Sikorsky for customer support.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage day to day operations and personnel tasking for the UHSPO Black Hawk team.
  • Lead strategic activities relating to further development of ongoing Sustainment improvements.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to Embedded team.
  • Establish implementation plans for Sustainment improvements.
  • Lead and Manage the site team, being responsive to customer request and implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Monitor and report to the ESM on the alignment between Sustainment strategic improvements and Transitioning Transformation activities.
  • Participate and report status in internal and external Program forums as required.
  • Work with team members from cross functional services, service delivery and transformation to ensure tracking of development efforts are inline to achieve Program milestones.
  • Develop and own risks related to operations and transition management to ensure risk mitigations are in place for activities identified.
  • Support UH-60M Black Hawk Program Manager in additional PMO tasks as required.
