DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the development and delivery of all on-site programming to ensure they are provided in a professional and clinically sound manner; close coordination with various service providers for ongoing clinical services; effective liaison with permanent housing providers, private landlords and brokers regarding client placement; ensuring compliance with all regulatory and contractual obligations, including serving as the primary program contact with the New York City Department of Homeless Services; and effective program leadership and supervision of staff. Additionally, the Program Director will provide 24-hour on-call management and support. Emergency first aid and CPR assistance as needed. Related duties as assigned.
HOURS:
Full-time 37.5 hours per week
- Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm
- On call responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in social work or closely related field is required. A minimum of three years management experience working with homeless, mentally ill, and substance abusing individuals in a residential setting is required. Experience in a homeless shelter is essential.
